Rhythm for WebOSMain Screen

Ever wish you had something to read while on the bus or plane? Rhythm News Reader for WebOS allows you to do just that, without needing a constant data connection. With Rhythm, you can search through a massive collection of RSS feeds to find your favorite websites or you can enter a RSS feed URL manually. When enabled, Rhythm will download the stories from your collection of websites at an interval you define, all in the background and automatically. Rhythm also provides a quick and easy dashboard interface that displays the titles and a quick snippet of a story, perfect for the Touchstone or at-a-glace reading. On the main screen you can view the entire list of stored articles by simply tapping on the website title. Best of all, Rhythm does not rely on our servers to work. If our servers are down, you will not be affected.

Background Updating

Rhythm News Reader will periodically download news articles from your favorite sites. This happens in the background without your interaction, so new articles are ready for when you need them most. Set Rhythm to download articles in the background at intervals from every five minutes to only once a day, which allows you to find the perfect balance between convenience and battery life. New articles will be ready for you in the morning before your morning commute to work, or just before you are ready to take off. With background updates, a data connection is not needed-- simply open the app whenever you feel like reading, and unread articles will be waiting for you.

Dashboard PanelDashboard Panel

Perfect for Touchstone users, Rhythm has a unique dashboard interface that allows you to read a quick summary of a story. If you find that one of the rotating stories interesting, simply tap on it and it will open in the full reader interface. You can enable or disable the dashboard from the preferences menu.

Full Length Articles

RSS feeds do not always contain full articles, which can be a hassle in traditional RSS readers. Nothing can be more frustrating than reading an article, only to find that it is incomplete. Rhythm will download the entire story from the website so that you will never be left with a cliffhanger. These full length articles are also available for offline access. For better battery life, you have the option of disabling full articles.

Night Mode

One of the unique features of Rhythm is the ability to toggle Night Mode. The traditional reader interface turns from black text on a white background into a dark background with white text so that it is easier to read in lower light. If you prefer this darker theme, you can enable it permanently. You also have the option to set times for night mode to turn on and off automatically.
